New PS3 40Gb - smaller chip, less noise, less power requirements

New 40Gb PS3 (only official for Europe as of now) have the smaller 65nm Cell chip and consequently a smaller heat pipe.
It's great, because these changes make system more quite and reduce systems power requirements from 200 to 135 watts.

by ComputerBase.

But keep in mind, new PlayStation 3 40 GB has no memory card reader, only two USB ports, and no PS2 backward compatibility.

If you do not have a PlayStation, you can try to win it.

Wants DualShock 3 support? Upgrade your PS3 Firmware!

Rumbler support has been missing since the PS2, and players have wanted their DualShock Shake, and now they finally have!

The new DualShock 3 controllers won’t arrive until well after Xmas, but latest PlayStation 3 firmware adds support for rumbling force feedback controllers already.

While the new force feedback DualShock 3 controllers won't be available to western gamers until spring 2008, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction along with a v1.94 PS3 are already capable of sending a vibration.
